Sost

Sost

Sost is a village located in the Gojal area of Upper Hunza, Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan. Sust is the last major settlement on Pakistan’s side of the Karakoram Highway, bustling with economic activity due to its status as a customs and dry port town.

It serves as the final hub before the border, where traders and transporters from across Pakistan converge. Workshops, shops, and roadside eateries give Sost a vibrant feel, contrasting with the quieter villages deeper in Gojal. Beyond Sost lies only the high-altitude wilderness leading up to Khunjerab Pass and the Chinese frontier.
