Siachen Glacier
Siachen Glacier is located in Ghanche District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is in the eastern Karakoram range in the Himalayas. At 76 km (47 mi) long, it is the longest glacier in the Karakoram and the second-longest in the world’s non-polar areas. The glacier lies between the Saltoro Ridge immediately to the west and the main Karakoram range to the east.
Four of the seven longest glaciers in the world outside the North and South Poles are in Pakistan. In which the second place is Siachen Glacier (76 km), Biafo Glacier (67 km) is on third place, Baltoro Glacier (63 km) is in fifth place, and on the seventh is Batura Glacier (57 km).
